Society To Hold Its Annual Meeting In
Tucson & Phoenix, Arizona
May 20 – 24, 2008
Manuscript Society members will head west this spring for their annual gathering to share the joys of collecting and preserving the bits of history found in the documents they collect and preserve. Local arrangers Herbert Rubin and Edward Oetting say the meeting promises a bevy of attractive venues which will highlight some of the great manuscripts in private and public collections in the region.
The Annual Meeting begins Tuesday, May 20 in Tucson with the Board of Trustees meeting followed by a series of venues in the area. The meeting shifts to Phoenix and Tempe Thursday afternoon and Friday for manuscript tours, a "fun" auction, and a visit to Frank Lloyd Wright's "Taliesin West." The group returns to Tucson Saturday, visiting Tombstone enroute, and concluding the day with its annual banquet that evening.
